WorkSmart is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the City of Chattanooga to make it easy for employers in the Renewal Zones to find prospective employees who live in the zone. WorkSmart will offers on-line subscriptions to a proprietary database of employee prospects that are recruited, screened and profiled for convenient review by employers looking for new hires. All prospects registered in the database will have verified their eligibility to qualify businesses for special federal tax benefits if they are hired under the Employment Tax Credit incentive of the Renewal Community Initiative. WorkSmart makes it easy for employers in the Renewal Community Zone to find employees and for businesses to put additional money in their pocket instead of more in Uncle Sam’s.
