 Chattanooga Chamber Awarded 4-Star Accreditation
On June 6, 2007, the Accrediting Board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce designated the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce as an Accredited chamber with 4-Stars. Accreditation indicates that a chamber of commerce operates under effective organizational procedures and contributes to significant positive change in the community. To achieve this standing, the Chattanooga Chamber performed an intensive self-assessment of its operations in eight areas of work, including governance, government affairs and technology.
“This prestigious honor puts us among the top 10 percent of chambers nationwide," said Chamber President and CEO Tom Edd Wilson.
Statewide, the Chattanooga Area Chamber joins the ranks of only five chambers with a four- or five-star rating.
